Officials at Zion National Park closed the Angels Landing trail from the Scouts Lookout waypoint after a rockslide Saturday.
Park staff learned of the rockslide, which occurred in a steep section of the trail where chains are adhered to the rocks for hand holds, Saturday afternoon, according to a news release.
No one was hurt or trapped in the slide.
Officials will assess the damage Sunday morning to make a determination on when it can reopen.
