JB Pritzker attends National Governors Association - WIFR

WASHINGTON D.C. (WIFR) - Governors from across the country are in the nation's capital this weekend for an annual conference... including Illinois' own J.B. Pritzker.

For more than 100 years, the National Governors Association hosted the country's 55 state leaders where they shared issues and concerns both on the local and national level. They compare best practices and share potential solutions. Looking ahead to the weekend's events, Pritzker said exploring the fight against rising prescription drug prices is one of the things at the top of his priority list.

"One of the great things about being here at the National Governor's Association is to speak with other governors and to share ideas as between our states and what we need to get accomplished," said Pritzker. "So, we've been talking about things like how to keep pharmaceutical prices down, so that people can get healthcare at an affordable price."
