PARKLAND, FL- Wednesday was an exciting day on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas campus. Student athletes from six different sports gathered on what is known as "National Signing Day" to sign their National Letters of Intent to play a sport at their chosen college or university. National Signing Day was created by the NCAA as the date students athletes for most sports are allowed to make their decision official. There are a few different signing days throughout the year, but National Signing Day is traditionally on the first Wednesday in February for student-athletes that plan to enroll for the upcoming fall academic and athletic season at their chosen institution. This year's National Signing Day landed on Wednesday, February 5.
Stoneman Douglas had eight athletes sign letters of intent:

Ashley Paris; Florida Gulf Coast University- Bowling
Ryan Belk; Yale University- Football
Chantal Jimenez; Indiana University of Pennyslvania- Lacrosse
