Oak Ridge, Liberty Ranch take first in their national divisions

Two cheer squads from Sacramento and El Dorado counties became national champions at the 2020 National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando this weekend. Oak Ridge High varsity cheer in El Dorado Hills took the national title for the Super Varsity Tumbling. Oak Ridge junior varsity also placed nationally in their division.Liberty Ranch High varsity cheer in Galt took the national title for Super Varsity Non-Tumbling. Both the National High School Cheerleading Championship and National Dance Team Championship took place the past two weekends, welcoming 25,000 athletes from 1,270 teams across 36 different states. Internationally, 62 teams from 12 countries competed.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Two cheer squads from Sacramento and El Dorado counties became national champions at the 2020 National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando this weekend.

Oak Ridge High varsity cheer in El Dorado Hills took the national title for the Super Varsity Tumbling.

Oak Ridge junior varsity also placed nationally in their division.

Liberty Ranch High varsity cheer in Galt took the national title for Super Varsity Non-Tumbling.

Both the National High School Cheerleading Championship and National Dance Team Championship took place the past two weekends, welcoming 25,000 athletes from 1,270 teams across 36 different states.

Internationally, 62 teams from 12 countries competed.
